AMMASCO RADIO 90.7 FM, KANO

A business philanthropist and founder of AMMASCO Oil and Gas
International Company, Alhaji Mustapha Ado, deems it feet to do
things differently by introducing Ammasco Radio 90.7 FM and
television station, respectively. This serves as part of his own
corporate social responsibility to his community, the society, and
the country at large, targeting empowering youth to be self employed, self-reliant, hardworking, and be able to compete
favorably with their peers across the global communities on
matters that affect their lives and well-being in society.
Consequently, the much-awaited state-of-the arts broadcasting
station’s signal went into the air at 15:25 hours on February 7, 2024.

Projecting the culture of entrepreneurship among the youth

To project the culture of entrepreneurship, innovation, self-reliance,
hard work, integrity, and honesty among the youth in meeting their
needs and aspirations in life through quality broadcasting

The main objectives of the broadcasting house are to promote
value reorientation, entrepreneurship, hard work, resilience, and
self-reliance through professionally packaged programming, news,
and entertainment that appeal to the target audience, with the
aim of promoting socio-economic growth that enhances peace,
social safety, and freedom of speech in society and to ensure return
on investment.

The target audience of the radio and TV stations is basically youth
between the ages of 18 and 50. They constitute 90% of content
consumers on the station. While 51 years of age and older
constitute 10% of the target audience,

She has also worked with the Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Program to prevent and manage nonviolent conflicts in Nigeria. Halima has worked as a News Editor, Sound Editor, Program Producer, Program Presenter, TV Personality, News Anchor, and On-Air Personality. She has also worked as a Senior Commercial and Assistant Marketing Manager, responsible for sourcing potential advertisers and supervising radio and television sponsored programs, interviews, and editing. MANNURA UMAR

Mannura Umar Simy is a professional journalist with over a decade of experience in media broadcasting. She has worked in various organizations, agencies, and organizations, including Wazobia FM, BBC Media Action, Cool FM, Arewa Radio, and Freedom Radio. She has also worked as an assistant producer and presenter for various radio dramas, such as “Gatanan Gatanan Ku” and “Mu Tattauna.” Mannura has also worked as a freelance script developer, writer, and translator for various radio dramas, focusing on issues such as farmers’ clashes, religious and cultural communal clashes, terrorism, and food safety. She has also participated in workshops on gender and social inclusion in media houses, social media, journalism, news gathering, and more. Mannura has also gained expertise in post-production, translation and transcription, contract negotiations, and working with mediarelated agencies. She is also a voice over artist and has experience organizing and coordinating outdoor shows/perf

Halima Abdulahi, is a journalist and trainer who has participated in various workshops and trainings. She has worked for Rahma Radio, M4D ORG, ENABLE ORG, and participated in the “Yau DA GOBE” program at the “VOA” Hausa service. She has also participated in various workshops and trainings, such as Mobilizing for Development (M4D) workshops on communication and journalism, VOA workshops on business and entrepreneurial journalism, VOA workshops on health for Nigerian journalists, BBC Media Action training, HC3 training on social behavior and communication change, VOA workshops on understanding hands-on digital coverage of health and education in high-risk areas of Nigeria, M4D training journalists on how to interact with people with disabilities and adolescent girls, MNCH2 training health reporters on causes of VesicoVaginal Fistula in Northern Nigeria, and Translators Without Borders training on improving translations.
