AMMASCO RADIO 90.7 FM, KANO
A business philanthropist and founder of AMMASCO Oil and Gas
International Company, Alhaji Mustapha Ado, deems it feet to do
things differently by introducing Ammasco Radio 90.7 FM and
television station, respectively. This serves as part of his own
corporate social responsibility to his community, the society, and
the country at large, targeting empowering youth to be self employed, self-reliant, hardworking, and be able to compete
favorably with their peers across the global communities on
matters that affect their lives and well-being in society.
Consequently, the much-awaited state-of-the arts broadcasting
station’s signal went into the air at 15:25 hours on February 7, 2024.
Projecting the culture of entrepreneurship among the youth
To project the culture of entrepreneurship, innovation, self-reliance,
hard work, integrity, and honesty among the youth in meeting their
needs and aspirations in life through quality broadcasting
The main objectives of the broadcasting house are to promote
value reorientation, entrepreneurship, hard work, resilience, and
self-reliance through professionally packaged programming, news,
and entertainment that appeal to the target audience, with the
aim of promoting socio-economic growth that enhances peace,
social safety, and freedom of speech in society and to ensure return
on investment.

The target audience of the radio and TV stations is basically youth
between the ages of 18 and 50. They constitute 90% of content
consumers on the station. While 51 years of age and older
constitute 10% of the target audience,

HALIMA MUHAMMAD
OAP/Program Presenter
Halima Muhammad is a highly motivated and goal-oriented communication specialist with a strong understanding of international policy, peace, and conflict management. She has experience working with the United Nations, IWEI, and other organizations, including the Human Rights Commission of Nigeria, Isa Wali Empowerment Initiative, and the Hotoro Women Development Association. She has also worked with the Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Program to prevent and manage nonviolent conflicts in Nigeria. Halima has worked as a News Editor, Sound Editor, Program Producer, Program Presenter, TV Personality, News Anchor, and On-Air Personality. She has also worked as a Senior Commercial and Assistant Marketing Manager, responsible for sourcing potential advertisers and supervising radio and television sponsored programs, interviews, and editing. Halima has received various certificates and seminars, including a certificate of recognition in Conflict Sensitive Communications,
SULAIMAN AUWAL MARSHAL
OAP/News Editor
Sulayman Auwal Marshal is a skilled journalist with a strong ability to meet targets, work independently, and communicate effectively. He has a computer literacy and has completed various education and qualifications, including a Nigerian Certificate in Education and a secondary school certificate. His experience includes reporting, news translation, sound editing, casting, script writing, and live coverage. He has also worked with Liberty Television and Radio.
HAUWA JAFAR BAYERO
Newscaster/OAP/News Editor
Hauwa Ja’afar Bayero is an experienced journalist with over eight years of experience in newscasting for radio and television. She has strong communication and interviewing skills, and has experience in field work, transcriptions, stakeholder engagement, and reporting for development. She has received professional training in soft skills, media advocacy, and communication for development. Hauwa has supported various development partner activities, such as SFH in the malaria campaign, Lafiya FCDO program, and MNCH2 in media advocacy and health reporting. She has held various roles, including News Editor, News Caster, On-air Personal (OAP), Sound Editor, and Producer. Hauwa has also attended training programs such as Soft Skills Training in Jobberman, Nigeria, and Fundamentals of Islamic Economics, Banking, and Finance Workshop at UNICEF.
MANNURA UMAR

Mannura Umar Simy is a professional journalist with over a decade of experience in media broadcasting. She has worked in various organizations, agencies, and organizations, including Wazobia FM, BBC Media Action, Cool FM, Arewa Radio, and Freedom Radio. She has also worked as an assistant producer and presenter for various radio dramas, such as “Gatanan Gatanan Ku” and “Mu Tattauna.” Mannura has also worked as a freelance script developer, writer, and translator for various radio dramas, focusing on issues such as farmers’ clashes, religious and cultural communal clashes, terrorism, and food safety. She has also participated in workshops on gender and social inclusion in media houses, social media, journalism, news gathering, and more. Mannura has also gained expertise in post-production, translation and transcription, contract negotiations, and working with mediarelated agencies. She is also a voice over artist and has experience organizing and coordinating outdoor shows/perf

Halima Abdulahi, is a journalist and trainer who has participated in various workshops and trainings. She has worked for Rahma Radio, M4D ORG, ENABLE ORG, and participated in the “Yau DA GOBE” program at the “VOA” Hausa service. She has also participated in various workshops and trainings, such as Mobilizing for Development (M4D) workshops on communication and journalism, VOA workshops on business and entrepreneurial journalism, VOA workshops on health for Nigerian journalists, BBC Media Action training, HC3 training on social behavior and communication change, VOA workshops on understanding hands-on digital coverage of health and education in high-risk areas of Nigeria, M4D training journalists on how to interact with people with disabilities and adolescent girls, MNCH2 training health reporters on causes of VesicoVaginal Fistula in Northern Nigeria, and Translators Without Borders training on improving translations. Halima has also worked as a translator and producer for
HAJARA ADAM LADAN

Hajara Adam Ladan attended Kano State Polytechnic—Mass Communication 2019, Government Girls College Dala School (2015), Yunusiya Primary School, Sallari Quarters First School LEAVING CERTIFICATE 2009. She also attended the BUK Workshop on Investigative Journalism in Nigeria in 2019. She is an experienced news editor, Hausa, news producer, and on-air personnel with Vision Radio at Vision Radio 92.5 FM Kano. Program presenter at Farin Wata TV.
BILKISU ABDULLAHI MASU

Bilkisu Abdullahi Masu has a background in education from Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil. She holds a bachelor’s degree in science education and a senior secondary school certificate. She has received various awards and recognitions, including a certificate of participation from the Ansarus-Sunnah Committee, a teaching practice certificate from GGS Kundila, a participation certificate on 21st-century higher education administration in Nigeria, a radio news reporting certificate through a gender lens, and jobberman soft skills training. Her working experience includes Inec Adhoc Staff, Teaching Practice at GGS Kundila, Newscaster/Presenter/Reporter/On-Air Personnel at Liberty Radio and Television Kano, Newscaster/Reporter at Rahma Radio and Television Kano .
RABI'A ABDULRAHMAN HASSAN
OAP/Presenter
Rabi’a, a female sports presenter from Muhasa TV & Radio Kano, and member of Afenet, has a strong education background from Binta Mustapha Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Pajec International School Club Road, Bayero University Kano, and Hamdan International Academy. She is known for her interpersonal skills, teamwork abilities, self-motivation, target orientation, and ability to work under pressure, as well as her integrity, transparency, and honesty.
